Suspicious item in car brings bomb squad to W. Jordan bank West Jordan • Police rushed to a Wells Fargo Bank parking lot in West Jordan early Thursday morning after unspecified threats to the financial institution were reported. Soon thereafter, a bomb squad was called to the scene and removed a "suspicious package."

West Jordan Fire Battalion Chief Steve Holmes said police and firefighters cordoned off the area near 2640 W. 9000 South and moved vehicles and personnel back behind crime scene tape. By 8 a.m., bomb disposal experts had moved in to inspect a parked car. By 9 a.m., the item had been removed to be disposed of at a safe, unspecified location, he said.
